SEED AND HARVEST
All you can do is plant a seed. Luke 8:4-15 is very clear on what this means. Have you planted a seed(s)? Jesus Christ's and the Apostles' time was an agrarian culture. What we know today is farming. Even though this "modern" society has gotten away from the concept because of package foods, meats, fruits, vegetables, and big box stores as in Sam's Club, Walmart, Costco, etc., basically it starts from the land. Yes, today's seeds have been manipulated through being genetically modified from its natural state. But you still need a "seed" for any life form to grow including humankind. Research farming and agrarian culture to get a "show and tell" understanding so that you can apply Luke 8:4-15 to your spiritual growth. Basic "truth" doesn't change no matter how hard mankind try. GOD's word is forever and ever. HE changes not as Luke 21:33 tells us "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away." In knowing this, you should feel safe, secure and confident in your walk with HIM. So, go out and plant those seeds with HIS word. The field is out there----THE WORLD--- starting with your family, friends and associates. It's not just about sitting in a church pew on Sunday, Wednesday or any other day. This is good for teaching and associating with like-minded people for the building up of your faith. Don't make it difficult, we are not asked to be perfect. We are just asked to sow seeds with the Word of GOD and the HOLY SPIRIT will do the rest. It is GOD who makes it grow. Plant the seed(s) and keep pushing forward. Study HIS WORD and KNOW it for yourself.
Romans 12:3 "For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith."
