Taming of the Tongue We usually associate the word "tame" with animals in order to control them or domesticate them for our pleasure or our use. However, that is not the only application of the word we should consider. Yes, that "fleshy muscular organ in the mouth used for tasting, licking, swallowing, and articulating speech". That is the object I am talking about. We have come to see over the past decades how much damage can be done with speech, whether audible, visual, or textual. Today's social media has given the world a platform that can be used to uplift humanity. But lately, we are seeing it used as a tool causing damage, wittingly or un-wittingly. Grandma would say, when she heard something uncomely from your mouth, "I'm gonna wash your mouth out with soap!"
